Defect Tracking and Quality Control
Monitoring the root causes for defective products provides excellent cost-benefit. With the knowledge of where defects occur management teams have the ability to remedy the problem(s). Without this information, the cause of a company’s defects will be unresolved, costing the company thousands of dollars in wasted materials and labor.

Defect Tracking Software is one way to consolidate a facility’s data on defective products/components. The deployment of such a system not only makes available information in the form of text reports (detail, summary, totals, etc.) but should display the data in visual forms (paretos, charts, graphs, etc.) to allow manager to evaulate the data at a glance. High end systems run on hand-held devices to optimize accessibility to information. Quality Control Software offers product tracking to a greater degree. According to specification and control limits, a system can flag defective units, prompt for immediate action and/or send the items to be reworked. Limits can be set by customer, product and/or quality level. Only a flexible system can offer extensive capabilities without an overly complicated interface.
